Slim Thug & The Boss Hogg Outlawz Prep ‘Serve And Collect 3′

Houston rapper Slim Thug is prepping the release of the third installment from the Boss Hogg Outlawz “Serve and Collect” series.

‘Serve and Collect 3′ will be the first album from the group since the 2008 release of the second album from the series. This edition, however, will feature a slightly changed up roster with Killa Kyleon moving on from the group, while adding M.U.G. and Dre Day. The first single from the album, “What Up”, features Slim Thug, J-Dawg and Dre Day, which they recently shot a video for (Click here to watch the behind the scenes footage).

The release will come from under the E1 Music Umbrella, which will be the fifth collective release from Slim Thug and his partnership with the label.

‘Serve and Collect 3: Immahog’ is set for release on May 31. -KING-

Jay-Z Talks Down on Illuminati Accusers

If you think Jay-Z is down with the Illuminati, he has a message for you. The hip-hop mogul is speaking out against those who have accused him of being affiliated with the secret society, and his words might hurt.

“It may sound a little arrogant, but I just think people can’t handle when somebody else is successful,” Jay told Delta Sky magazine. “Something has gotta be wrong; you gotta be down with some higher power. And I guess when someone else is successful, it makes you feel like maybe you’re a failure. So it can’t be you, it has to be some other force.”

He’s not the only artist who’s been plagued by the rumors. His wife BeyoncĂ© has dealt with her share of critics, as have other superstars including Lady Gaga, Jennifer Hudson, and Rihanna.

The Roc Nation CEO previously addressed the topic on Rick Ross’ “Free Mason,” where he rapped, “I said I was amazing, not that I’m a mason” and “I’m on my third six, but a devil I’m not.” -KING-

Grand Hustle Faces Money Problems, Downsizes & Relocates Offices

Between the fact that Young L.A. lost his damn mind and that their Atlanta office recently shut it’s doors, rumors have been floating around that Grand Hustle Records was a wrap.

T.I.’s business partner Jason Geter (the one leaning on the Bentley to the left) addressed the chatter late last week explaining that yes, money did slow up, but that didn’t mean that that Grand Hustle team of kings was stopping their attempts to get rich.

“Number one, Grand Hustle is definitely not dismantled, we unfortunately did downsize [on staff] and relocate. We’re doing business, just in a lighter way. A smarter way, due to our current situation,” says Geter.

“We don’t have much business to do, not much going on, why pay people when unfortunately there’s not much going on?” he continued. “Same thing that the major labels are doing, it’s no different. Supply and demand, at the end of the day. It’s just the way of the business.”

It’s been tough past few months for the Atlanta-based record label, and Geter isn’t denying it, “It’s no secret we’ve taken hits, back to back, with Tip’s absence [serving out his prison term].” Downsizing and relocating was the best move, he said, and one that was discussed with T.I. “We’re partners, we talk about everything, no matter if he’s in or he’s out. It’s Grand Hustle, so we communicate with one another.” -KING-

Chingy Quit Music Because He Was ‘Sick’ Of It

Rapper Chingy has been out of the spotlight for the past three years, and now the St. Louis native is revealing why.

The 31-year-old has been plagued with rumors of an alleged sexual relationship with a transsexual male as of late, but behind the headlines there were deeper issues surrounding his self-inflicted departure from the spotlight.

“When I was gone for the three and a half years, off the scene, people really got to understand that I have a personal life, and in that personal life I lost a lot of close people to me,” he told SOHH.com “I lost three of my closest friends, I lost my auntie, I lost my little cousin, I lost my girl cousin, I lost my granddaddy, I lost a couple of friends. People don’t see that. They just see that you don’t have a song on the radio and you [haven't released] a video. They don’t see your real life and the things you go through.”

Losing both family and friends drove Chingy into a state of depression, where his career was the last thing on his mind. “I was sick of the whole life,” he continued. “I just got sick of it. I was still working on music but I just didn’t care about being in the light because I was going through so much.”

The ‘Right Thurr’ rapper has since regained interest in music, and has even mended his relationship with Ludacris, after cutting ties with his Disturbing the Piece imprint. At the height of his fame, Chingy sold 2 million copies of his ‘Jackpot’ debut released in 2003. He is currently prepping the independent release of his fifth album ‘No Risk No Reward. -KING-
